The only store in Center Line, Michigan, opened by Gordon “Gordy” Hartunian was the beginning of their story in 1963. The store was originally called “The Blue Light Special Store,” but the name was later changed to ABC Warehouse because of all the merchandise that had no specific price. By 1980, the store expanded to three locations in Southeast Michigan.
