The unique conception of uniting food and entertainment at one place started to develop in the 1970s. Before opening Dave & Buster’s, its founders developed their businesses on their own. David Corriveau operated a game house known as “Slick Willy's World of Entertainment” in Little Rock. James “Buster” Corley build his career in T.G.I. Friday's, a famous American restaurant of casual dining. James always wanted to have his own business; that is why he asked David for help. When they saw that their clients visited their places, they decided to establish a restaurant where the customers would have a drink, food, and entertainment combined.

To make their dream come true, David and James moved to Texas, and at the very end of 1982, they opened doors to the first Dave & Buster’s location. Their conception was very successful, and soon it started to move beyond Texas. As for today, there are over 100 Dave & Buster’s locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

To play games in Dave & Buster’s, you need to have the Power Card. It’s a card aimed to easily activate games and encourage the clients to play for a long time. To make your Power Card work, you need to pay a 3$ fee. With it, you also receive 15 chips that you can spend on the game you want in the future. Later all chips you buy for games are loaded to this Power Card. You can also add it to Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
