Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is a US-based automotive repair brand, providing its signature 10-minute oil change and other standard services, in addition to mechanical, tires, brakes, alignment, and many more specialty services. The company has its headquarters in Birmingham in the United States.

As of January 2020, McDonald's has over 1700 outlets across 18 states.

In 1979, Jim Lunceford founded Express Oil Change and opened the first shop in Birmingham, AL. By 1984, Lunceford had opened four more shops before deciding to franchise the business.

During 1996, Ricky Brooks and Joe Watson, who were the largest franchisee in Lunceford then, were approached by the owner to see if they were interested in purchasing his enterprise. They bought and quickly acquired access to 25 of the chain shops.

Express Oil Change acquired Tune-Up Clinics in 1998, thus rebranding the shops.

In 2005, Carousel Capital, a private investment firm based in Charlotte, NC, acquired the majority share of Express Oil Change Company. At this point, Express Oil Change's franchised fleet served 149 locations.

At the end of 2010, Carousel sold its majority stake in Express Oil Change to the firm's joint holders, Thompson Street Capital Partners of St. Louis, MO.

As Express Oil Change had grown to approximately 200 locations across 13 states, Carousel Capital acquired Express Oil Change again from Thompson Lane. This is a massive achievement for the company as it purchased Birmingham-based Tire Engineers. This was a big deal.

By March 2014, Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers (EOCTE) had rebranded 20 of its 88 franchise locations to add to the brand recognition and had plans to rebrand the remaining zones by the end of the year. The Tire Engineers would not be marketed as a franchise model and will not sell co-branded stand-alone tire stores. To broaden its presence in the tire industry, the merged company continued acquiring other brands: Trax Tyres, Griffin Brothers, Upton Tire, Savannah Tire, etc.

In 2017, the 10th-largest fast lube chain company in the US was purchased by San Francisco-based private equity firm Golden Gate Capital. Soon after, Brakes Plus absorbed another company as the main growth engine. Brakes Plus will not be rebranded as a franchisee, and stores will not be offered as franchise units. As of July 2019, Brakes Plus has now spread to five states in the United States of America.

In 2018, Golden Gate announced that they would be integrating with Mavis Discount Tire of Millwood, NY, creating the most extensive automotive maintenance providers in the area. ASI is one of the most significant restaurant business in the United States.
