Where is the closest Fry's Food?
The American food store industry is prosperous – it contains many supermarkets, big and small retailers that compete for the customers’ attention every day. They try to attract them by the products’ variety, prices, various sales, discounts, loyalty programs, and many other things. If we look through this long list of American food stores, we will see Fry’s Food. Is it a good store? What can we buy there? Below, we will share with you everything we know about Fry’s Food.
It’s a well-known American food shop chain that entered the market in the 1950s. In the northern part of California, an entrepreneur, Donald Fry, wanted to establish his own grocery business. He asked for the help of his brother Charles, and soon they opened the doors of the first Fry’s Food shop. The Americans could buy all products they needed – dairy products, bakery, meat, fish and seafood, drugs, general grocery, and alcohol drinks. Fry’s Food started to develop and began to expand across California State. In the 1960s, it turned from one shop to a grocery store chain of over 40 locations. Later the Fry family decided to leave the supermarket business and open electronic shops. Firstly, it became part of the Save Mart Supermarket chain, and since the 1980s, it has been a part of the Kroger Co (one of the biggest supermarket chains in the United States). Today, Fry’s Food remains a famous grocery shop line that predominantly operates over 100 locations serving the Arizona region.
As a typical supermarket in the United States, Fry’s Food stores offer all necessary products that the Americans need – various food (meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, sweets, bakery, etc), home goods (such as kitchen and bathroom appliances, home décor items), kids products (like toys and board games), drugs, items of general merchandise and many other things. At Fry’s Food, the staff deals with only the freshest, high-quality products of well-recognized native brands and labels.
The Fry’s Food company has several divisions – Marketplace, Mercado, and Signature. The Marketplace division represents a big supermarket with many departments – electronic goods, drugs, food, outdoor living items, different products for home and children’s goods. This division has a similar concept as the Fred Meyer shops (it’s a hypermarket super shop line that was among the first to unite food with sports items, kids' products, home décor, electronic products, etc.).
The second Fry’s Food division, titled Signature, is an elite food shop oriented on the neighborhood serving. It aims to give the customers the service that you’ll never find in the ordinary food shop, such as fresh attractions cooking school (it provides cakes’ decorating lessons, children's classes on Saturday, or floral arrangements making). Besides, in Fry’s Food Signature stores, you can also buy organic food (in the Nature’s Market division), Ethel M Chocolates, the freshest seafood, and fish.
The last Fry’s Food division, Mercado, is focused on the Hispanic residents. Besides food, drugs, and general merchandise, its location can include a point of check cashing, gas station, kitchen, and bar of clean, fresh water.
