In-N-Out Burger is an American regional chain of fast-food restaurants with locations mainly in California and the Southwest. Harry Snyder and Esther Snyder founded it in Baldwin Park, California, in 1948. Today the chain is headquartered in Irvine, California and has spread to the rest of California and Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Colorado outside Southern California.

In addition to its original Baldwin Park site, it has opened many distribution centers as the chain has expanded. The new facilities in Lathrop, California; Phoenix, Arizona; Draper, Utah; Dallas, Texas; and Colorado Springs, Colorado will extend into other areas of the country in the future.

In-N-Out Burger has opted not to franchise its activities or go public; one explanation is the possibility of overly rapid market development losing efficiency or consumer consistency. For employee-centered personnel policies, the company's business practices have been noted.

For example, In-N-Out is a few fast-food chains in the United States to pay its employees more than state and federally mandated minimum wage standards. The In-N-Out restaurant chain has built a highly loyal customer base and has been ranked as one of the top fast-food restaurants to many customers’ satisfaction.
