Where is the closest Jack's Family Restaurant?
The Jack's Family Restaurant is a chain of restaurants with headquarters at Homewood, Alabama. Previously it was called Jack's Hamburger and even now, some people know it by this name. It has many locations in the south-east of the U.S. The chain was established in 1960 as a hamburger stand in a suburb of Birmingham. Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia have more than 162 stores belonging to the brand. Those stores offer a menu including inexpensive hamburgers, french fries, sandwiches and some other products. There are 120 locations of the chain in the South.
The company's history started in 1960 in Homewood, Alabama when Jack launched its first store. It soon had an affordable menu that attracted successful people with 10-cent sodas and 20-cent milkshakes. In the mid to late 1970s, Jack's was opening new locations in south Alabama and Florida.
At about the same time, it changed its logo and excluded the word "Hamburgers" from the name. The current logo was designed later in the early 2000s. The first stores had slanted roofs with colored strips on it, and in the late 1960s, it started to change into dine-in cafeterias. Jack's Hamburgers grew rapidly and opened in April 1961 at Roebuck Plaza, its second site. In September 1961, the third at Elyton Village.
Over the next few years, there were more locations in the Birmingham Metro, and every opening event was a pretext for a celebration. pIndeed when McDonald's entered the Birmingham market after some time in 1962, in the beginning, residents considered it to be Jack's poor imitation. Other businesses, including Kelly's Hamburgers and the Burger in a Hurry attempted to capture their share of the local market, but Jack's held its positions firmly.
Throughout the brand's history, clients have received a warm, family-like attitude. Jack's is a genuinely Southern brand, which values the hospitality of this region. It is so prevalent there, having nearly 200 locations in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and 200 locations in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. About 15 new restaurants are opened each year. Jack's current Chief executive officer Todd Bartmess became a member of the company in 2015. Before that, he worked in managing fast service restaurants for more than a quarter of a century. He has been the CEO of Heartland Food LLC, the second biggest Burger King restaurant franchise holder globally. Mr Bartmess has worked in numerous roles at leading brands, including Dunkin Brands, Boston Market, and Taco Bell.
