MetroPCS (or now Metro by T-Mobile, or just Metro) is a famous American wireless communication provider. Before becoming a part of T-Mobile, Metro was considered the fifth-biggest web of cellular services in the US. Together with T-Mobile, there are more than 3,000 Metro locations (this number includes shops and kiosks).  

MetroPCS (PCS means Personal Communication Services) was founded in 1994 by two American businessmen - Roger D. Linquist and Malcolm Lorang. The organization started to provide communication services in 2002. The growth of the company was incredible – in three years, it reached over 1.5 million customers. In 2007 Metro appeared on the stock market for the first time. Six years later, it became a part of T-Mobile and soon changed its name to Metro by T-Mobile. 

Metro offers four calling plans for the customers – there two plans with limited data and two plans with limitless data. The first plan with limited data is worth $40 for one line. It includes 10 GB of high-speed data and limitless music. The second plan with limited data comes with accessible 2 GB of high-speed data and costs $30 for one line. The starting price of the limitless data plans is $50 for one line. In case you attract more people to your plan, the cost for every next line decreases. If you use the services of Amazon Prime, you need to choose costlier calling plans. Its starting price is $60 per month for one line. Like T-Mobile, Metro doesn’t have any annual calling plans. 

Metro also offers several extra services. If you want to protect your gadget, you can switch to a protection program (the Premium Handset Protection System). It allows you to completely protect your mobile from all possible cases (like theft, damages or loss). The starting price of the protection service is $5 for one month. 

In case you communicate with your friends and relatives in Canada or Mexico, Metro has some offerings. The services named Canada and Mexico Unlimited allow you to call and send messages to your loved ones for $5 per month. You can switch these two options only if you have a calling plan at $40 cost or higher. Both options include limitless calls, messages, and 5GB of high-speed data. 

The Metro extra services are not limited to those two countries. With Metro by T-Mobile Global Voice, you can communicate with 140 countries. This service also includes limitless messages for selected countries. To receive it, you need to have a calling plan at a $30 or higher base plan and pay a $10 fee. If it’s not enough for you, you can switch the Metro by T-Mobile Global Voice+. For $20 cost you’ll get all the Global Voice service’s features, but they’re twice as much.
