Where is the closest Mobil?
Every driver wants their vehicles to have the best fuel. Today there are lots of fuel suppliers, but here, we need the best. And Mobil belongs to this class.
Mobil's story represents a great example of how to build a successful business. It all started in the 19th century with two companies. The first organization, Vacuum Oil, was established in 1866, and later it merged into Standard Oil, founded by John D. Rockefeller. The second company was Socony – an oil organization formed by Standard Oil. In the first half of the 20th century, when Standard Oil broke up, two organizations united into Socony-Vacuum. The name of the new formation changed several times, and finally, it gained the name Mobil only in 1966.
For many years Mobil had been one of the top leaders in the global fuel industry. It belonged to the group known as Seven Sisters, which controlled the fuel sector worldwide. And what is Mobile today? Nowadays, Mobil is a part of Exxon Mobil Corporation, founded in the late 1990s. Together Exxon and Mobil created a strong oil organization that competes with such big players as BP, Total, and Shell.
Despite the union with Exxon, Mobil remains the main trademark of the corporation, which is still high-respected among the customers. The brand is dedicated to producing a great variety of high-quality lubricants for automobiles, aviation, and big industrial vehicles. Besides, the organization still operates gas stations and shops across the USA.
Besides its own brand, Mobil also operates four sub-trademarks. The first is Mobil1 – the brand specialized in motor oils, gear lubricants, synthetic grease, and other products production. The second trademark is Mobil Industrial – it is a brand dedicated to producing various kinds of oil and greases for industrial usage. The third is Mobil Gasoline. As the name speaks, this brand is specialized in selling brands in the United States and other countries abroad, including Canada, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, and others. And finally, the fourth Mobil trademark is Delvac. It produces various kinds of greases, oils, and transmission fluids for commercial pickup trucks.
In addition, to provide high-quality fuel and high-class service, Mobil offers its customers great loyalty programs. One of them is the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ program. How does it work? The points are accumulated according to how much fuel you pour into the tank. You can use these gained points as payment when you gas up your vehicle next time. The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ offers several reward levels. The owners of the first level can get an award of 3 cents per gallon in points that you gain at the pump. If you want to get a Premium status, you need to gas up your vehicle with 8 gallons at least three times a month. Additionally, the owners of the Premium status get a double reward. The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ program allows earning points not only on fuel – you can also get points on making purchases in cafes and stores at the Mobil’s gas stations.
