Round Rock is a beautiful city located near Austin, Texas. It is known for its historic old sites and outdoor activities. The Round Rock, a huge sandstone in Brushy Creek, marks the original site where wagons began making low water crossings in the early 19th century. Just down the street, Chisholm Trail crosses the city lines at an overlook where the American pioneer boys put a few logs for the first road across the Great lakes.

In Round Rock, you can find the historic Frisco House Museum. Built in 1886 by an entrepreneur's son, the museum houses dinosaur specimens, rare paintings, and prints, wood art, jewelry, furniture, and antiques. Another attraction worth visiting is the Museum of Round Rock Archaeology. This seven hundred-year-old abandoned structure offers insight into the cultural history of the area. The Museum features a year-round exhibition that showcases the finds from archaeological excavations. Free admission is required.

The Great Salt Lake and Crystal Springs National Parks provide visitors with many outdoor adventures. At Crystal Springs, one can plunge into the naturally formed hot springs for a refreshing swim or simply relax by viewing the shimmering waters from a glass-bottomed enclosure. Nearby, visitors can hike on the Sandia Trail or try the exciting sports of dog trailing and paragliding. Dogs are welcome on most trails at both parks.

The San Antonio River allows visitors to enjoy a breathtaking close-up view of the city and the beautiful surroundings. The Six Flags Over Texas in San Antonio offers numerous attractions that include the San Antonio Riverwalk and the Comal River. There are also numerous festivals and events held at the park.

The Sea World in San Antonio offers many thrilling water attractions. Kids will love the water slide and other exciting attractions. There is an enormous water tank where one can observe all the creatures swimming about. Children should not walk on the tank itself but be closely watched by a lifeguard. Adults will find many interactive exhibits such as the Shamu Show featuring the famous stingray.

A few hours north of San Antonio, you can drive to El Monte. Here you will find Mission Ranch State Historic Park, which features many attractions including train rides, camping, picnic areas, nature trails, and gardens. The El Monte train station is the depot for the Southern Railway line. You can also visit the old mission area and enjoy shopping and eating at any of the food stores and restaurants.

Two hours from San Antonio is Laredo. Its second-largest city, Laredo is home to many attractions. Visitors can go horseback riding in Laredo or take a stroll through its many museums. The Laredo City Museum of Art is one of the best exhibitions in Laredo. The museum has many works of art ranging from the Old Spanish period to the modern art of the Texana period.

Round Rock has many more attractions. These include the Six Flags Magic Mountain, which offers free rides on the Mountain's roller coasters. The Six Flags Magic Mountain also has thrilling roller coasters such as the Alien Attack, Funfair, and many others.

The town of Converse is a very important attraction. Located just north of Austin, Converse boasts many clubs and organizations for tourists. The city of Converse is named after a street in the mid-west of Texas. The converse is a shopping village that offers over 200 different stores, restaurants, and nightspots. The town's most popular attraction is the Round Rock Motel, which is the oldest remaining motel in Texas.

Another attraction in Round Rock for visitors is the Alta Gracia Golf and Country Club. This 18-hole golf course hosts the Round Rock Country Club. The club has been operating for almost two decades and hosts regular tournament tournaments. Other local attractions include the Alta Creek State Park, which is known for deer camping, as well as the Alta Gracia Country Club, which has tennis, badminton, swimming, and boating facilities.

The town of Kyle is only a few minutes from Round Rock, yet is still a good distance away. It is also near the San Antonio area, which has a great selection of restaurants, shops, and nightspots. Kyle is very close to the University of Texas, so visitors often find Kyle College's campus close by. Kyle also offers an attraction for visitors who are into rodeo and western history.
